Acceptable Use Policy1. IntroductionISDN's Acceptable Use Policy is designed to enhance our customer’s use of the Internet and protect them from unacceptable or illegal activities. All customers and users of ISDN’s Internet services must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. ISDN does not assume responsibility for any content on the Internet that may be offensive to some users or illegal in nature. Similarly, ISDN does not monitor, control, or censor Internet use of its customers under normal circumstances. However, in accordance to our Internet Access Agreement, we may remove any materials that, in our sole discretion, may be illegal, may subject us to liability, or which may violate this Acceptable Use Policy. ISDN may cooperate with legal authorities in the investigation of any suspected or alleged crime through the use of our Internet service.
2. Violations of ISDN’s Acceptable Use Policya. Illegal activity. It is not acceptable to use ISDN in a manner that violates any local, state, or federal laws. Violations include but are not limited to acts such as fraudulent activity, theft, infringement of copyrights, threats, harassment, unauthorized network access or “hacking”, distribution of viruses or other destructive activities, harm to minors, or distribution of offensive materials.
b. Spamming. Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial messages over the Internet or “spamming” is prohibited.
c. Security violations. Attempting to access other accounts or computers to penetrate security features of any system, whether successful or not, is prohibited.
d. Obscene material. Using ISDN to transmit, distribute, store, post, or display obscene or hateful material including child pornography is prohibited.
e. Harm to minors. Using ISDN to harm or attempt to harm minors in any way is prohibited.
f. Threats. ISDN may not be used to transmit threats of any kind, including threats of physical harm, libel, defamation, or property destruction.
g. Harassment. Using ISDN to transmit any material that harasses another is prohibited.
h. Fraudulent activity. ISDN may not be used to engage in advertising or transmitting of material that may be deemed financial scams including ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, pirating software, or credit card fraud.
i. Forgery or impersonation. Forging message headers or attempting to impersonate any person over the Internet is prohibited.
j. Copyright infringement. Transmitting, reproduction, or distribution in any way of material that infringes on any copyright or trademark without permission of the copyright owner is prohibited.
k. Collection of personal data. Using ISDN to collect, or attempt to collect, personal information of others without their knowledge or permission is prohibited.
l. Unauthorized use or account sharing. Sharing accounts with anyone other than immediate family members or re-selling ISDN service, including running programs or servers that provide network services, is prohibited.
m. Distribution of destructive materials. Distribution or transmission of any information or software that contains computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, mail bombs, or other destructive material is prohibited.
n. Excessive bandwidth or disk utilization.
o. Long connections.
3. Violations of ISDN’s Acceptable Use PolicyISDN reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to violations to the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Demand immediate removal of offending material • Issue written or verbal warnings • Suspend or terminate users account or access to services and privileges without notice • Bring legal action • Other actions as determined by ISDN at its sole discretion
Refunds and credits are not available to violators of this Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Revisions to this Acceptable Use PolicyISDN reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this Policy, our Internet Access Agreement, our Privacy Policy, and any other agreement at any time and in any manner. Notice of any changes will be effective when posted to ISDN’s public website @ http://www.isdnmetro.net and/or by email.
